I'M****HERE

I've been away from my blog for so long.....it made it harder every day that passed to just jump back in.  I kept thinking about it but nothing would come to me. I had gotten caught up in everyday life. It just happened. So today I spent a little time to myself painting and relaxing. It felt really good. It also inspired me to share and get back to my good old faithful blog. It  reminded my that the purpose of my blog was to share art and enjoy other peoples creativity. So here I am with more art to come!

FLEAMARKET***FRIDAY

Better late than never....today I'm joining in with my friend Kecia for FLEAMARKET  FRIDAY. Last week Kecia and I hit the fleamarket together, I found quite a few goodies, but for now I'm gonna share my favorite find of the day.

I've been collecting Infant of Prague statues for some time. This beauty is the largest one I've ever found. He stands about 24 inches. His face is also exceptional. He also came with 5 vestments.(the beautiful clothing he wears) Kecia and I are planning a day of vestment making. That should be fun.

For The Love Of Shoes

Why do women love shoes? It's just crazy how so many of us go wild over shoes.....not only do I love beautiful sandals, lace up boots, and Vans and Converse too! I'm obsessed with baby and doll shoes ! I know it's a problem.(hehe)I guess I'm just gonna have to join shoe lovers anonymous. Check out these little babies that my dolly is wearing.....

My Etsy Shop

I'm Really here......just haven't been feeling to good lately. I think I'm finally coming around. I pushed myself to create, and boy was it therapy. I worked like a busy little beaver and the etsy shop is finally up and running.

Here's a little sampling of the doll cuff bracelets that I came up with. They are hand made and hand painted. I think (I hope) they look the the old antique dolls, that we all love. I hope you all enjoy them.

Having Fun At Kecia's

Well....when Kecia and I create together we make BIG things. I mean large, I guess you gotta go big or go home! We put our heads together and the thoughts just kept flowing, we made these lovely fun dolls. What a fun time!

                                    I went to her house with a doll head and a bunch of vintage goodies.  She was also very generous with her supplies. This is what we came up with. My little pretty dosen't have her wings on yet, and she's totally not finished but Kecia posted her little beauty, and I just wanted to get my girl out here.
                    She also has a party hat like Kecia's doll, but I made her this Easter bonnet because she looked to much like a boy in her party hat.

Doll Making Weekend

 Introducing........

Pearl

I thought she had a soft gentle look about her, but yet elegant like a pearl.

I almost forgot.....Pearl's little companion Blu, her pretty pet birdy friend.

Last weekend I had my friend Kecia http://lemoncholys.blogspot.com/ over for the weekend. We decided to make dolls together. What a great time we had. We thought they could also wear matching friendship necklaces, that we'll be working on in the future. My doll is a work in progress, I think I'll be continuously adding little things to her. Details are very important.
                 This is the work in progress....we didn't realize that we each made their heads tilting in different directions....leaning into each other....how perfect!

Blue Grays

I just love shades of blue, aqua, and blue grays. I was taking a few pics of things in the studio and thought I'd share them. The little porcelain lady has always reminded me of my sister. I don't know if she would like that. I hope so....I think she's beautiful. I think it's a compliment. Hopefully she will too!

The Pixie's Birthday

Today is the Pixie's 12th birthday. Boy time flys.I wanted to give her something special. Something just from me. I had made a leather cuff bracelet a couple of weeks ago for my friend Kecia. The Pixie thought is was just perfect. So I gathered some supplies and went to work......... 

She's the key to my heart, we're two peas in a pod, and just a little bling!

Making Birdies WIith Colleen Moody

What a wonderful weekend I've had!!! I spent the weekend making this lovely bird "Clarisse" with Colleen Moody. My friend Kecia hosted a fun filled weekend of friendship, art, fabulous food, and just plain old fun. Clarisse dosen't have her wings on yet, but I knew if I didn't just go ahead and post these pics.....who knows if I'd ever get them out here.

So if you ever get a chance to take a class with Colleen, go for it. She's a generous teacher and you'll walk away with a lovely project.

Dreaming of Paris

I think my little Gypsy Kitty wants something to eat..... or maybe she's just waiting to have a tea party. What a well mannered little Gypsy, and so polite. She's just such a lovely girl, I don't know what I'd do without her!

My Friend Jody Wood



My friend Jody Wood is an amazing wildlife photographer. She sent me this image to fool around with photoshop. I just had so much fun with it. She doesn't do to much with photoshop because her images raw are just so natural and beautiful.
