ROAMING AROUND THE HOUSE

I really love looking at how other bloggers decorate their houses. I thought today I'd show you a little of my style. I know you've seen my studio....boring boring, no really I love it, but it's jam packed with vintage supplies. So here's a little kitchen love and also a bedroom shot......

I'm a transferware freak. I've been collecting with my dad since I was a little girl. Brown is my favorite but once in a while I'll grab a grey blue beauty or even a green. Even Martha didn't think brown was cool 40 years ago...Hehe

Sweet Cheeks is part of a collection of vintage baby and children photos, I've been collecting for years. I see those lovely little faces and I just can't resist them. IN THE ART STUDIO

O.k I'm in my art studio......trying to finish up a few projects and I couldn't control myself.

I'm gonna have to lay off the photoshop for a while so I can get back to work. The pixie said momma all you do lately is work on photos. I know o.k I'll take a break and get back on track. Gotta create some stuff for Etsy ya know.

FADING FROM SUMMER TO FALL TO WINTER

This is the soft Summer Style of an enhanced picture of my banner. I can't control myself. I guess I've gotten the photoshop bug. Then we have the fall version, slightly warm but also cool.

 Then we have winter.....cool, black and white, with a hint of pink.

THE SOFT FADE OF SUMMER

Slowly  Summer fades and we slip into fall. When I worked on this photo all I could think of was the soft and gentle breeze of summer and how much I miss it as winter rolls in. Then I quickly smiled when I realized what we have to look forward to.....

Not that I want to rush it, I'll just sit back and enjoy my Labor Day weekend and you all do the same!!

The past couple of days I've been spending a lot of time fooling around with photoshop. I know that's all I've been talking about lately. After spending lots of time looking at lovely blogs, it's a need to know. Especially if you are like me and don't take the best photos. It really is amazing what you can achieve. ART IN THE ROUGH

Just a quick post to let everyone know I am back from ART IN THE ROUGHhttp://www.naveljellystudios.com/ . What an amazing event. I just got home after a 9 hour drive from Maine. Here's a quick pic of the dress form I created. Robin Betterley is incredible. What an amazing teacher and such a lovely woman. She has helped me bring my dress forms to a whole new level.

I'll be posting about the entire event by the end of the week. Just wanted to give you a little eye candy for now. So check back soon for the low down on the entire event.

FLEAMARKET FIND

Finally I have returned..... Been to Cape May. Had a wonderful time. Fresh air, lots of beach, and most of all relaxing. After Cape May, I came home for a few days and went to work. (yuk) Then the Hubs, the pixie  and I went for a quick trip to see my in-laws in Miami. Yes I've had two wonderful trips I'm a lucky girl. This is also what I've been up to...........

My lovely flea market find. This piece is the perfect shades of beachy blue aqua, gray, and white. It was filthy. I've spent the day scrubbing it and sealing it. But let me tell you, I love it!!!!! Right now in is in my hallway. I'm going to try to find a home for it in  my studio. There's really no space, but this piece is perfect for it. So I'm gonna try to squeeze it in tomorrow. I'll let ya know how it goes.

THE BEACH ANYONE

I think this little guy needs a date for the beach. He's so cute, and light as a feather. He's made of this very thin celluloid like plastic. I just love posing him around the studio.

I worked on this necklace today, for my sister in law. She's really into the symbol "the hand of Fatima"....I think that's what it's called. I don't know much about it but I think it's to ward off evil. My pictures are so bad. I really have to work on my photography skills. I mean no skills!!!! I say this all the time but this pic really doesn't do it justice.

THE BIG EYED PEOPLE

When I was a little girl my Mom and Dad had a collection of prints by various artists. They were all of big eyed little girls. I think they were from the 60s and 70s. I know there was also prints of puppies and kitties. We didn't have those but I've seen them at yard sales and antique malls. I loved looking at them. I actually have one from my mom's house. She always said it reminded her of me. Anyway that's what inspired this little drawing collage on wood. I also used tissue paper and vintage sheet music.

Thought I'd throw in this little sweetheart from my studio.(just cause she's so cute)

DRESS FORMS

I love decorating dress forms. From the little wire forms to the yummy vintage Wolf ones. I usually use mostly vintage fabrics and lace. My claim to fame with my friends and their daughters, and family is every time there is a Bridal shower I'm the go to girl. Could you please make me a dress form for the bride. It actually becomes quite an obsession for me. I can really get carried away with the details. My only problem is I always do it for free. Not that that's a problem but you girls know these vintage fabrics and laces can get hard to come by and also a little pricey.  Well that's about it.

Trying to edit my where bloggers create post

Hello everyone, I recieved so many lovely comments from you all. I just wanted to say thank you, they have really touched my heart. I also have downloaded enlarged photos of my studio pics. I tried to edit my original post and started to make a disaster of it. I hope you all enjoy my studio in a little more detail.
